AWS provides native cost-explorer dashboards that you can use to get an official view into how effectively Archera is managing your RIs and Savings Plans.

This is where you can find the utilization numbers for existing RIs and Savings Plans:

https://console.aws.amazon.com/cost-reports/home?region=us-east-1#/ri/utilization?chartStyle=Line&timeRangeOption=Last3Months&granularity=Daily&reportName=&reportType=RIUtilization&isTemplate=true

This is where you can find the coverage of on-demand spend for existing RIs and Savings Plans:

https://console.aws.amazon.com/cost-reports/home?region=us-east-1#/ri/coverage?chartStyle=Line&timeRangeOption=Last3Months&granularity=Daily&reportName=&reportType=RICoverage&isTemplate=true

Please note that Archera calculates coverage differently in some cases from AWS which you can read more about here

Process to Verify Costs

To verify Archera data, we recommend:

  1. Create a Segment that aligns with an individual account you have access to on the AWS Console.

  2. Collect summary cost data from Archera Segment

  3. Validate against AWS Cost Explorer data
