To enable access to the AWS EC2 Standard RI marketplace or to (re)sell or be a channel partner in the AWS Software & Services Marketplace a U.S. Bank account is required by AWS.

For companies outside the U.S. who don't want to deal with the trouble of working directly with a U.S. bank to set up an account there are 2 ways that you can streamline setting up a U.S. Bank account for access to the marketplace on AWS:

  1. The Archera Recommended Solution: Use the Wise application to set up a U.S. bank account to link with your AWS account and then use the Wise app to transfer any funds dispersed by AWS into that account to a connected bank account in your country of origin. See a full, Amazon specific walkthrough on the Wise help center here.

  2. The AWS Recommended Solution: Follow the steps in the "Additional Seller Requirements" section of the AWS marketplace seller guide, specifically the steps to set up the Hyperwallet application to get an assigned U.S. Bank account that you can link with your AWS Account
